Current computer science undergrad at a small UT school (El Paso) looking to transfer. I have 41 credits completed and a 4.0 gpa. I have 1 semester of experience as an RA (research assistant, 2 semester if you include this upcoming fall) and I have been in student government since last fall. I also have some amount of personal projects such as android apps and web development that I have sunk some time into and put on my resume.
Im looking to transfer into a larger and better known computer science program, I understand some of my school choices probably seem like a reach but I feel like it is only worth it for me to transfer if I have a chance of getting into a very good program… Otherwise I think I will stay here simple for the affordability.
Please chance me for UT Austin, Carnegie Melon, Stanford, Georgia Tech and UMichigan Ann Arbor. Stanford is my dream school, and more than anything I would like honest advice on my ability to get in there. The rest I would have to think twice about except for UT Austin as its close to home.
