School- above average public. Sends students to a variety of schools, usually a couple Ivies per year

Bump. Anyone?

Bump 10 char

I would say you have a decent shot at all those schools. Do you have any subject tests?

I’d say try to get your SAT score up or try the ACT
And I’m only suggesting this because you have very scattered ECs…one year here, two years there. And in my opinion not extremely significant in anyway…
That being said work on your essays and you’ll be fine. Sorry if i come across harsh…2110 is a really good SAT score, but not at the top level.

I attended cyber school as a freshman, so I basically had no ECs that year. Then, transitioning to public school as a sophomore, I had a lot to adjust to and I did not have the opportunity to participate in very many activities. However, I have a big upward trend in both grades and ECs. I think I should elaborate on some of the ECs I do have:

A bit of volunteering experience at my local farmers market and a local philanthropy group

I guess I have some ECs that I didn’t realize I had.

Essays will be very good.
Getting recommendations from three different teachers, all of whom know me very well.

I know some of the schools (Wesleyan and Vassar) are reaches, but it can’t hurt to take a shot. Can anyone classify each school as a reach, match, or safety? I think I have a pretty good idea, but I want to see what other people think. Thanks!

I don’t have the time to take the SAT or ACT, but I will be taking SAT II’s in December.

Bump 10 char

You have a good shot at all of them! I’d say wesleyan is probably the toughest and most reach-y. but you have a good shot there too.

Thanks! Are there any LACs in the northeast that someone would recommend for my stats?

Bates, Colby, Bowdoin are all in Maine. Bowdoin’s probably a reach, but Bates and Colby are definitely a match.
