Chance me for Admission and Scholarships?

Note: I will chance back!

I go to a highly competitive public school in so-cal, ranked top 10 in the nation.

Major: Pre-Medicine (pre-profession) & Business Administration

SAT 2320- 730 CR 800M 790 W

SAT II: 760 US 800 Math IIC 800 Biology 800 Chemistry 760 Literature

4.1 GPA/ 3.7 UW < I know this is killer

Class rank: 57/573

AP Scores: US 5, Bio 5, Chem 5, Econ-Mi 5, Econ-Ma 5, Stat 4, Eng Lang 4, Comparative Govt 4

I worked in the UCI labs, interned at Allergan, play varsity tennis and golf. I also vollenteer at a shelter for abused children and created an art program for them. Oh, I am also a national merit semi-finalist, maybe finalist? (PSAT 238).

I am not just looking for admission but also scholarships as I come from a lower income bracket. Example: Presidential, Trustee, Dean etc. Also, I am naming USC as my first choice. What are my chances at these or other scholarships?

Additional Notes:
My brother went to UCLA D:, will that hurt my chances?

Thank you for your time, any little bit of information counts!

If your PSAT is that amazing and since your gpa is decent, you should be NMF. So you should get about $20,000 a year if accepted. Plus, you will probably get some FA to cover at least some of your need if you are low income. I think you should be able to get in, though, but I’d make sure not to slump this year!

-------------------------------------------If it is to be, it is up to me…

Thanks typeakid!

For admission, you definitely have a good chance. Great job on the test scores! As for scholarships, it’s difficult to say because it really depends on your essays/extracurriculars to set you apart from the other applicants with high scores/grades.

Also, I highly doubt your brother being a UCLA alum will have any effect on your application, lol. I know a ton of kids here who are the first Trojans in their Bruin-filled families.

I don’t even think there would be a place on an application where you would need to state this – at any college!

Are you a Southern California resident? You might be able to apply for the Town and Gown scholarship as well – although I think your UW GPA is a bit low for those.
