I’m an international student from Russia, planning to major in Computer Science.
School:
GPA: 4.0 (both weighted and unweighted)
SAT I: 1500 (M: 790, CR: 710)
TOEFL: 106
Won lots of school/city level olympiads on English, Maths, Physics and CS.
Have really great recommendation letters from CS, Maths and Science teachers.
Extracurricular:
Apple Developer.
Created 5 apps for the AppStore with lots of downloads
One of the apps was on the “Featured” page in the Russian AppStore.
Won Apple’s WWDC Scholarship with my app to attend their conference in San Francisco.
After learning about SpaceX, I became big fan of spaceflight, and done lots of research about the technical side of it.
Created several iOS apps based on it (such as rocket performance calculator, efficient launch windows generator and satellites tracker)
Took part in the ISS Watch app contest and NASA Space Apps hackathon, got a honorable mention in the latter
I need lots of financial aid (can afford only approx. $10k a year), and since LMU doesn’t offer need-based aid for int-ls, Arrupe Scholarship is my only chance.
Do I have a chance at admission to LMU with a decent scholarship?
