i will write a killer essay too, BUMP ANYONE?

ANYONE?

Are you transferring in from a Community College or from another University’s Engineering program??

community college: College of Lake County (CLC) in Illinois

and please be honest, i really hate harsh answers but i guess the best is to hear the truth about UIUC…please tell me if i have a better chance at another engineering major in the school like computer science or something

bump anyone

UIUC’s engineering program is very selective, and it is very tough. Your GPA seems to be below average. What type of engineering do you want to major in, because if you want to be a chem e, it’s a bit different because it isn’t in the college of engineering, but rather in LAS.

what if it is 3.4 GPA? and either mechanical or electrical or aerospace or industrial? whatchya think?

I would not be optimistic even with a 3.4 to get in the Engineering school. You also might look at agricultural & biological engineering through the Department of Agriculture. They have concentrations in off-road equipment, food & bioprocessing, soil & water resources, and bioenvironmental engineering. I have heard Ag Dept is friendlier to community college transfers.

Being URM should help. As a state school, they aim to serve all communities in IL, so you’ll be compared to your peers to an extent. Write a good essay.
