Prospective colleges i want to get into so badly:
UCB, Stanford, Caltech, Georgiatech so pls look more into them when chancing me

Hope to hear good responses and thanks for all the replies in advance

You should add UW to the list good for CS better than Purdue and could be a match/safety for you. I had a very similar profile ec’s with more leadership community service and entrepreneurial innitiatives ACT 33 but strong high school record with 97% in 12th and 94% in 11th and I only got into my “safety”, wait listed for a lot though :stuck_out_tongue: . India is getting more and more competitive so do not count on getting into any college. Currently all your list is reaches add uiuc for a match and maybe remove one of the reaches.

CMU-huge reach (4.7% acceptance rate for SCS)
MIT, Stanford Berkeley high reach( in berk apply to CS in L&S instead of EECS in engineering you will have double the chances of getting in)
Caltech Princeton Harvard Columbia Cornell Mid to High reach
Michigan GTech Low reach( do EA at both)
Purdue Safety

@Bored1997 Got it. Thanks mate!
BTW what’s EA, SCS, L&S and EECS?

Is there any other safety school in addition to Purdue?
Those schools have low acceptance rate and it will be more difficult for you since you are international.
EA-Early Action
SCS-School of Computer Science.
L&S-College of Letter and Science
EECS- Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

@Jr12317 Firstly, thanks for the full forms. I’m not aware of any more ‘good’ safeties. Plus, I thought I would have maybe a little chance in the others even thought the acceptance rate is low. Mainly UCB thought, I have lots of friends who got in with average scores and its acceptance rate isn’t very low either…

The magic question will be:
Can you afford them?

Yes, I can afford full pay.

Forgot to mention, UCB for internationals has like 10% rate of admittance.

Your chances are good for these schools but you can always expect something from them. Try to look for safety schools.

.

You look like every other desi applying. Being able to solve puzzles and yoga is not going to cut it at the top schools. Your scores are high but that’s about it.

Create a broader list of schools and a lot more safety
