I have formed a strong relationship with my admissions rep through email, did a tour, set up an interview, am doing a summer program hosted there, and may do an overnight

Judging from your shear interest in the school, I think you have a decent shot cause they know who you are and that you’re dedicated. It also helps alot that you’re applying ED, cause last year they accepted 80% of qualified applicants through it. Also, I would use your ACT score to send in because it’s perfect withing the 50% range. Just make sure your essay indicates your passion towards journalism and why it matters at AU, and you’re good to go

Thank you for your feedback! I may do test-optional, which I will then have to do more essays geared toward my interest for AU. I’m going to see how I do on the retests and then I’ll decide. I’m hoping my extra curriculars help me. I have an officer position for NHS and another club.

Remember, it’s about the quality of the extra-curriculars you have and why that matters to you. If you have true passion towards what you do and it’s reflected in what you want to study, highlighting that will help immensely
