Chance me for Amherst College

I’m applying to Amherst College regular decision. I’m a legacy. I know that it’s a reach school but I want to see whether I have any shot whatsoever.

SATs
Total: 2210
Math: 680
Reading: 740
Writing: 790

ACTs
33, with my highest score in math and my lowest in writing

SAT 2s
Biology: 740
Lit: 730

APs
Bio: 5
Lit: 5

GPA (not including senior year):
Weighted: 3.81
Unweighted: 3.75

Senior Year:
Very rigorous course schedule. Getting all As and A-s except for a B in AP French.

Extracurriculars:
Model UN, publicity editor of literary magazine, writes for school newspaper, does school shows, works at my Hebrew school, was a camp counselor this summer, national merit scholar commended

I think my essays (the common app one and the supplemental one) were pretty solid.

Opinions? Please?

Grades: could be better
Test scores: SATI lopsided towards writing. 33 ACT is good. SATIIs are decent.
ECs: Nothing all that interesting imho, but I could be wrong. Perhaps I’m used to seeing kids overstate their ECs.

Overall you’ve got a good shot. Idk how much legacy status helps at Amherst but I suppose it certainly can’t hurt.

Percentage wise, I’d give you a 55% chance. But that literally means nothing.

Thank you :]. I know my grades could be better but I think my senior year grades will bring it up. I have some other extracurriculars too but they were kind of hard to explain so I just left them off. And I know my SATs are lopsided towards writing but hopefully since my ACTs are the exact opposite it will balance out. Thanks again for chancing me!
