<p>Hey guys, what do you think my chances of getting into Amherst College are if I apply ED? Is it a reach or a match. I know its definitely not a safety.
Here are my stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.6
Weighted GPA: 3.9-4.0
SAT I: 2050/1380 Math+CR (Going to retake in October. Hoping for 2250+)
ACT Composite: 31
SAT II: not retaking any
Bio: 660 (self-studied)
Math II:750
US History: 750
I have good recs and a killer essay.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Track and Field since sophomore year
Pre Med Club since Jr year
Math Honor Society since jr year.
30+ hrs community service: all done in the summer of junior year
Attended a medicine and health care conference in DC for 10 days.</p>

<p>It will be a reach for you. Definitely try to increase your standardized test scores as much as you can before ED applications are due. </p>

<p>Yeah^ It’s a reach bud. Amherst is extremely competitive so try kicking ass on those essays. ED at Amherst is also considered to be very competitive. <p>Thanks guys! I’m counting on my essays and hoping I can get my SAT to a 2250+. If I have those do you think I could get in? Oh also I took the most rigorous course load if that will help.</p>
