I would like to apply to Amherst ED. I know I don't have any hooks, but how do my chances look?
If I get deferred, I would be trying my luck at: BC, Bowdoin, Columbia, Duke, Georgetown, Middlebury, ND, Swarthmore, Tufts, College of W&M
I didn't include my safes in the above list.

All of the schools that you listed have unpredictable admissions, but with good essays and recs, you stand a good chance. Incredible ACT score, but you may want to look in to which colleges require which test scores because you might have to take/submit your SAT II’s; possibly even your SAT I. Good luck!

Thank you! Do all of the schools really have unpredictable admissions? I know Columbia is basically a crapshoot, and probably Duke as well, but even the others?
