Please tell me whether I have a shot at Amherst if I apply in the early round. I do not have a college counselor or any officials that I can ask this question.

I see you applied to Trinity ED last year. You reported your SAT as a 1370, now a 1560. Is this an accurate score or a projected one? Did you get accepted to any US schools last year? If you are already a HS graduate, what was your senior GPA? Please represent yourself correctly if you want any feedback

I came to know about US Colleges and application in September 2019. October 2019 was my first SAT. I studied and retook it this August and received a 1560. I only applied to a few US schools last year and got into most of them except the reaches. I was clearly not ready for application back then - I knew nothing about the college application, I messed up my essay and I did not report most of my ECs 'cause I thought just like Indian universities, American universities only consider extracurricular achievements that were conducted in school. To answer your question, I haven’t graduated from HS because my exams had been postponed due to COVID-19. My expected graduation date is December 2020. So, I am unable to provide my senior year grades.

wrong move

Hello! You have great stats. I think you might have a good shot at Amherst. But I do not know about ED policy because from what I know Amherst and Williams do no take international Indian kids in ED round. Maybe doing RD would be a good idea if you are not prepared with your essays.
