Colby, Macalester and Colorado College are about equally selective. Your chances of getting into 1 or more of these should be much better than your chances of getting into Midd or Pomona. Colorado College is likely to care a lot about “fit” since they are on an unusual “block plan” that can be great for some kids, not so great for others. So maybe they would take a chance on a kid with a “flawed” transcript, if the essays/interview/etc. do communicate that goodness of fit (by stating how you’d take advantage of the focus and flexibility the block schedule allows).
