chance me for an american grad school

Hello,

I'm an environmental engineering student at University of Windsor in Canada.

Here are my stats

3.9/4.0 GPA
5 internal scholarships + 1 external scholarship
3 co-authored publications

I also did the Canadian equivalent of an REU this summer.
I haven't taken GREs yet because I haven't really considered American schools until this point. I'm not sure what I'll get in them.

I was wondering if I have a chance at a top american school like MIT, Caltech, Carnegie Melon, Cornell etc.

Please keep in mind that Windsor is not a very well known school so I'm wondering how much that will hurt my chances.

oh i forgot to ask about funding.

What kind of funding will i get if I get accepted?

I don’t really have much money and i know that I can get paid a decent amount if I choose to stay in Canada.

Your research and GPA are golden. If you can get good GREs and some good recommendations, I’d say you’re alright.

As far as funding goes, you should be alright in environmental engineering, particularly if you’re going for your PhD.

[This is speculative. Those are good schools on your list.]

can anyone give me a list of a few reach, match and safety schools I should consider?

i believe berkeley has a great program for environmental engineering

stanford is #1 in environmental engineering and it’s really easy to get into the masters program. don’t expect any funding until you get into the phd program though.

berkeley and stanford and great schools for sure but do you guys think I have a real shot at them?

bump anyone?

Depends a lot on your GRE scores. They had better be good.

Your stats are impressive and barring a GRE meltdown, you have a good shot at any top university.
