my teacher recs should be pretty good, especially my math teacher lol, cuz im taking grade 12 and ap stats this year

It definitely helps that you’re applying for 10th as it is less competitive than 11th.
What are your grades like for grades 8, 9, and 10? If they haven’t improved since 7th grade then it may potentially hurt your chances… : S Boarding schools care more about your grades if you apply for grade 10 and especially for grade 11 because they want to see if you can keep up with their academic rigor.

Your EC’s look really good though. What about SSAT’s?

Best of luck you seem to be on the right track : )

lol thx x.sunny
first person to reply my thread =)
i got an average of 90% for grade 8, 92% for grade 9 (my worst subject was gym lol)
and fall term report card’s gonna be out in december for grade 10…

r u also applying to BS too??

yeah. i live in vancouver AND also go to an all girls school too haha. our backgrounds are so similar because i just moved here from china : )

i’m probably applying for 11th though. pretty nervous at the moment… i’m new to the all girls school thing so part of the motivation for bs is just to switch to a coed school lol. plus my new school is really small so there aren’t many opportunities for clubs and such.
which bs would you like to go to the most?

your chances are okay

x.sunny:

lol im applying to andover and exeter for grade 10,
lawrenceville, hotchkiss, sps, and deerfield for grade 11

im so stressed out!!
ssat in december and interviews in november~

p.s: where in china r u from??

your pretty good.
try better on your grades(:
im having a hard time too.
ughh! so frustrating.

haha me too i’m really stressed out.

shanghai all the wayy : ) what about you?

wooooot
i thought so = =…lol
im from nanjing/shenzhen

but yeah…which schools r u applying to?

well i’m still deciding on that. most likely andover, exeter, choate, lawrenceville, sps, and webb (that one’s my backup). i still need to narrow it down though :P

x. sunny –> I actually dont think you should narrow down your list. Getting in Junior year is very difficult. I’m also applying for Junior year to most of the schools you listed (in total 10 schools). I’m also interviewing in January! Ohh,
