So what do you think? Do I have a chance? Comments and suggestions? What BS do you think I might get in? Thank you so much for all of your time!

One thing you need to realize is Admissions officers do not like vainglorious a-holes.

Yeah, you seem kind of like the type of person who does stuff to impress admissions officers and not things you really like. They seem to like people who are passionate about what they do, rather than those who are just doing things because it looks good.

lmao. not a chance. you might get into suffield academy, northfield mount hermon, maybe choate.

Seems like you are a respectale candidate for all the school’s you mention. Don’t know why the above posters are being so mean spirited - perhaps their own stats pale in comparison?

Angela, please circle back and let us know where you get in come March 10. You seem like a great candidate for all the schools you mention.

Angela, you are definitely an over achiever. I cannot imagine anybody can acomplish this much in middle school. The only hole I see from your resume is participation and involvement in school activities, initiatives and leaderships. Also what do you do for fun? Remember having fun is an important part of balanced development. Anyway, I am really impressed and I think you have a great chance. Yes, let know in March on where you are going.

“One thing you need to realize is that admissions officers do not like vainglorious a-holes”.

Wow, I know that you think she might be doing stuff just to impress AOs, but that doesn’t make her an “vainglorious a-hole”. I mean, I know a lot of high school juniors and seniors who do stuff just to impress college AOs and they’re not “vainglorious a-holes”. And in general I think the first three comments were pretty mean.

Yes, you’re academically qualified for all these schools mentioned above. (Andover,Exeter, SPS, Choate, etc) You have good enough grades and all that. But that doesn’t mean you’re going to get in. Hey, I’m qualified for those schools too, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get in. With your grades/ECs I wouldn’t worry too much about being under qualified.

redbluegoldgreen & Dadxyz- Thank you! And I will let both of you know where I’m going in March :)

Dadxyz- Yes, I saw that too. I am involved in four after school activities though. The problem is that there aren’t any things such as ‘presidents’ at out school, because it’s middle school. I’m know they have it in high school though, which I’m working on. Also, there was a junior honors society, which I regret not participating in, because I didn’t know about it until later in the school year. When I went to school in China, there were class presidents in elementary. I was class president for the two years I went to school there. I’m not sure if that counts though. I like to draw and read during my free time. Especially reading though. Do you think my SSAT score would be enough? Where else can I improve on?

ifax108- Thank you again!

@angela,
I’ve heard as long as your SSAT is above an 85% overall and with no sections in the 70’s, you’ll be fine. But then again, this is the internet so it’d probably be best to ask the admissions offices of these schools directly. On the Exeter Admissions Facebook page they say that they like to see a 90% overall. So relax about the SSAT.

ifax108- Thank you very much!

Angela, keep in mind that leadership is not about your title but about what you do. You can have 10 “president” titles and doing nothing. I see a lot of these type of kids. I am sure AOs can figure that out. On the other side, I saw kids take initiatives and implemented significant changes in their schools or communities. Their acomplishments can be reflected in their CVs and their recommendation letters. Typically these kids will also excel in their interviews and essays since they have a lot to talk about. Remember a leader is the one who has followers, not the one who has a title.

Daddyxyz- Thank you so much! Now I really understand what you mean… Sorry, but what are CVs?

Check this link on CV [Curriculum vitae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Curriculum vitae - Wikipedia). You can consider it is the same as a resume.

Dadxyz- Thank you very much! :)
