Chance me for anything EXCEPT HYPMS

you commented id mine so i thought id comment on yours...
your best bet...allthough this might surprise you..for scholarship is actually wash u

my dad has three friends on diff scholarships boards (columbia uva i think and forgot the lsat one might even be duke)...and though duke has been playing it up in the recent years....they dont award many merit scholarships...they save the big money for the bbal players

they do give most of their $$ to NC residents...so if you are one than id look at duke...

but wash u has specific scholarships for programs especially physical and biological sciences which you seem interested in...so it depends what your interested in majoring (science i assume i dont feel like going back and reading it again if you did say)...but if oyu live in MO than its another plus...

the thing with Wash U is you get to apply specifically for scholarships...so your EC's have more weight than you think (and surpsingly less weight in others scholarships programs where you dont apply)...but looking at your resume it seems you have a good idea of what you wanna do and could prob write a nice convincing application...so the application for scholarships would help you

one little fact...to none HYPS system..espicially Duke...let them know their your top choice but not!! your no.1 choice...duke always loses a lot of people to ivies..and they love to throw money to lure away HYPS students...and dont apply ed to duke...becz you get no money since you get hoooked (im thinking of applying early but this is a serious concern to me)

take everything said above with a grain of salt...becz every admissions office is different and these are second hand (form them to dad to me) opinions of a handful of college admissions officers

and good luck

o i didnt see you were applying to rice

you def will get a scholarship there they give ****loads of merit scholarships there...i know a kid with a 2400 who got waitlisted at Stanford and a full ride to big R
