Chance Me for Barnard ED 2023?

Hello! I’m an international student who will be applying to Barnard for the ED round this year, and was hoping if someone could “chance me” based on my test scores and extracurricular activities! I am in the Advanced Placement program and am planning to major in English with a concentration in either Creative Writing or Film.

My profile is down below! Any suggestions would be wonderful

SAT I (breakdown): 1460/1600, R&W: 710, Math: 750
ACT (breakdown): didn’t take
SAT II: U.S. History, Literature
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.85
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): top 5%
AP (place score in parenthesis): AP Human Geography, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Psychology, AP U.S. History (11th grade)
Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): some awards at debate and speech contests…

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis):
-Academic research on Western Theatre; published an essay on Tom Stoppard’s play “Arcadia”
-United States Academic Decathlon (overall highest score in my whole team)
-Debate
-Speech contests
-MUN (at the University of Pennsylvania)
-Volunteer work: teaching children in poverty to speak English
-Community service: animal protection in Australia
-English Literature Seminars
-Yale Summer Session 2018 (took a philosophy course, B+; and an English literature course, A-)
-Summer @ Wellesley 2018, Flash Fiction Writing Workshop

…And that’s about it! Again, any suggestion would be helpful… Barnard is my dream school and I just want to know if I have the slightest chance to get in :((( thanks! <3

Hi! How’s your ED result? (I do consider you can get into Barnard based on your profile!) May I ask a question to you about Yale Summer Session? Do you think standardized tests scores are important in YSS admissions? With 1440 on SAT and 103 on iBT, do you think I have the chance to get in to that? (I’m currently a High School Junior.) Thank you!!!

Hello! Unfortunately I was deferred by Barnard.

I think you can definitely get into Yale Summer Session based on your standardized test scores! I only submitted my TOEFL score back then (it was 107), and I got accepted. Pay attention to your essay and you should be fine

Hi, I don’t see any obvious “red flags”. Having said that, there simply are too many facets to the decision-making process. It’s important to realize that the outcome is truly uncertain in every single case.
