<p>Hi,
I am an asian american male at a competitive public school in winchester, mass.
GRaduating 2011.
I would like to apply to Tufts, BC, BU, Northeastern, Brandeis, Syracuse, UMASS Ahmerst, and Rutger, Uconn......UMass and MCPHS as a safety. </p>

<p>WOuld like to know chances....</p>

<p>Financial: One working parent, efc 2000...will this decrease my chances? and will i be able to get a generous financial package...? We can not afford much...</p>

<p>Pre med major..or Pharmacy 6 years at mcphs</p>

<p>Grades" Cumm GPA 3.6ish. , do not have weighted or not. 4.0 is a plus for reg. class, and 4.5 for ap/honors.
9th: 3.0..honors geo. and honors bio. all other c1 normal class.(due to problems in family, could not concentrate)
10th:3.8 2 honors. history and math...
11th: 4.0gpa. all honors and ap history.
12: all ap, ap bc calcul, ap chem, ap history, ap spanish, and reg. english.</p>

<p>top 20 percent of the class...verycomptetive group, top 15 percent usually gets into ivies.</p>

<p>Will that freshman year drastically affect me?
ec's: playing violin in best orchestra in school. for 4 years.</p>

<p>sports: 2 years jv xc. 2 years varsity xc.
2 years jv track, 2 uears varsity track..
top sports team in the mass. league.</p>

<p>community service. 100 hours + each year in the summer for teachers assitance at a summer school/ camp.</p>

<p>clubs: math team 4 years, captian senior year...
debate club. vice president senior yeawr. </p>

<p>Any info. aviable upon request for better chances. </p>

<p>I am hoping for generous financial aid...because i can not afford much. do the schools i listed above, are they generous or 100 percent need? </p>

<p>Test scores? SAT’s? AP’s? SAT II’s? With good SAT’s (2000-2100+) I would say that you could apply to more competitive private universities.</p>

<p>AP history i got a 4…that is the only ap i took a test. all others i start to take the class in the fall.</p>

<p>tufts is a very competitve school…and the thing is that i dont know if my financial situtation will decrease my admission decision…</p>

<p>Good SAT scores. Decent GPA (might be even better considering the competitiveness of your school). In at BU, UMASS, Northeastern, Syracuse, Rutgers, UConn. None of those schools should be a problem for you. BC, Tufts, Brandeis high match.</p>

<p>A lot of safeties, you can probably take some of those off and apply to other schools if your interested.</p>

<p>are the ap tests taken end of senior year going to have any effect on the admission?</p>
