yes but having that major is a BA, and if i want a ****ty degree ill go to devrey
ahahahha
just kidding, put i dont want to go to berkeley unless it is for eecs, i know chances arent great unless you have a 2400 or 36, but yeaa…
hahah

but thank you for the input, u have gotten that idea a lot

The CS content between the two majors is identical. You should only pursue EECS if you have some level of interest in EE (and are willing to put up with all the extra physics courses EECS requires that aren’t of much use for CS)

OP, all of this makes me feel much better about what I said on your earlier chance thread. At least you know I wasn’t nuts! I think you would have a significantly better chance applying to letters and sciences. I don’t know how hard it is to transfer to EECS. I have read on the board that it is possible but very difficult.

thank you, my main fear for applying for a BA is that i feel that employers will favor a BS to a BA, but there is also the fact that your at Berkeley and that name alone carries a lot of prestige

Honestly, it depends how well you do. If you’re a talented CS major in L&S, you can get eaten up for top CS jobs. If you hate CS and want to do EE, you could try for a transfer, but you’d probably need top grades in Berkeley CS, which may not be easy.
