Chance me for Berkeley Engineering

I applied as a BioE major, and I know that applying to Cal Engineering could probably be a fatal mistake... Anyway:

SAT: 2300 (730, 770, 800)
SAT I: MathII 760, USH 750, Bio 770, Chem 770
GPA: Unweighted 3.9, Weighted, 4.25
Rank: Top 1%

Over 300 hours community service.
AP Scholar

I have ECs (sports, student government, clubs, summer activities, etc.) and various minor awards as well, but what would you say just based on the numbers (oh, and I know that Cal uses holistic approach to apps)?

Your location tells me you are in state, and I would be very surprised if you didn’t make it in with your stats. You should also have a good chance at other great schools for engineering, provided you have some good things to say about why you want to attend their programs.

bump please. I somewhat regret choosing bioengineering because of it’s ~10% acceptance rate :(

Don’t worry about it so much. Based on your numbers, you’re probably getting in.

Weighted GPA looks a bit iffy compared to schools with huge GPA inflation, but because you’re top 1%, it probably doesn’t matter.

When I say iffy, I don’t mean that it will hold you back - it’s just the weakest looking part of a very strong app.

I say you have nothing to worry about.

P.S. Don’t choose a school just to go to a school, choose your major first and foremost (if you know what you want to do)

You will definitely get in, I promise

Lookin’ good.

You’re fine. Your stats are a tiny bit below mine in a few areas, and above mine in others that count for more. Any rejection will be due to very, very freak acts of chance.

Oh ok. Thank you guys so much for the encouragement. I feel much better now :)
