I am planning to study EECS/Computer Engineering depending on the school I'm admitted to. I feel my ECs are weak (no concrete volunteer experience) but everyone tells me I'm fine for Berkeley (my CA public high school has about the top 15 students of the grade get admitted, I'm in the top 5, but the other guys aren't doing engineering).

I was already accepted as a Presidential finalist for USC if that means anything, but I did not get Regents/Chancellor's for Berkeley.

Thanks for the insight, but doesn’t Cornell Engineering have a higher acceptance rate than Berkeley’s? Also, saif, would you like me to chance something?

Good stat. What is your uwGPA? Also, Umich does not superscore. You should be a high match to low reach for UMich depending on your uwGPA and the rest of your credential.

@misingnoglic - while UCB EECS is competitive its not THAT bad. I know two people, neither of which had ever studied computer science before college, who were accepted to UCB EECS. @moliss - no thanks. Not to be condescending, but I try not to take much stock in CC chance threads. While they’re good for sophomores and juniors who want to figure out if they’re on the right track, as a senior I might as well just wait 17 days for the adcomm to get back to me.
