Chance Me for Boston College

Hello
I would really appreciate it if someone could chance me for BC, my dream school.

I am a rising senior at an all-girls' Catholic college prep academy in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. My GPA is a 96 (we use the GPA scale that is out of 100), my SAT is 2150 (CR-730, M-620, W-800), and I am in the top 20 of my class. I am white and I suppose middle-upper middle class.

Senior year courses:
AP Lit
AP Gov
AP Euro
Honors Stat
Honors Anatomy
Honors French 4
Honors Theology

Extra Curriculars:
Student Council (senior class president)
member of National Honor Society
member of TriM Music Honor Society
member of school's Glee Club and Chorale
7 year member of Pennsylvania Girlchoir (group outside of school; audition-only, professional group)
president of Respect Life Club
Diversity Club member

Other Distinctions/Activities:
-recipient of Good Citizenship Award from the Union League of Philadelphia
-large focus on anti-bullying work (began annual "Kindness Week" at school- activities have included assemblies, creation of murals, dances for children with special needs; spoke at rally to 500 elementary school students about bullying, have spoken to my grade school and another area high school, currently part of grant to speak to more schools)

Work:
-summer job in Ocean City, NJ at boutique for 3 summers thus far (assistant manager)
-former employee at Barnes & Noble

I would really appreciate input and feedback! My biggest concern is that Calc is not on my schedule (we only offer AP Calc at my school- math is not my strong suit and I know many struggle immensely in the class). Is this a huge issue for this selective of a school? I also do not want to study anything math related (I am a hopeful History/Secondary Ed major).

Thank you to any replies!!

I think you have a very good chance! Good Luck!

I think you have a really good chance. GPA/SAT are on par with what is accepted at BC, extracurriculars are good and your major is not overly competitive, so that should help.

BC: Match

Is there anything about Villanova that you didn’t like? Too close to home, perhaps?

I think you have a good chance. Good luck!

It does come down to location in regard to Villanova, really. Having grown up on the other side of the bridge I am not a big fan of the Main Line. I also thought that BC was much more accessible to Boston than Villanova is to Philly and I am definitely looking to be in or very close to a city. Thank you for your reply!
