Chance me for Boston University?!?

BU is my first choice, so I really hope I get a chance to live in my favorite city for the next four years. Let me know what you think!

Hispanic, first generation college student female from New England. I did apply for financial aid, but I don't need it because I was awarded a ROTC 4-year scholarship and assigned to BU as my home unit. (So admissions knows that they're my first choice, but I don't know if this could even affect their decision).

Agreed, you should get in. Especially with the ROTC scholarship. BU is military friendly and, by the way, offers free room and board to some their best ROTC scholarship students.

Just to nail this down, if you could visit BU and personally talk to both the ROTC cadre and the BU admissions officials, it might get their attention (in a good way). If you cannot visit, don’t worry.
