I am writing about my experience/struggles, in a fight to get a better education for my college admission essay.

*My guidance counselor told my that I need to apply to schools I have chance of being accepted to, then she suggested a list of community colleges.

I don’t doubt you have good chances in those schools.

however, just remember that Optional=/= not considered. In fact, submitting test score makes it easier for officers to evaluate you.

You should have applied for explore bowdoin.

Thank you @paul2752 I was shocked when my guidance counselor said this. Oh, well she isn’t my real guidance counselor more like an advisor (does not do recommendations). I have an off campus interview and it went extremely well, that emailed me saying they gave me a very favorable review and hope he hopes I get in.

@hillyer600‌ There’s absolutely no reason for you to go to a community college! Your GPA is pretty strong and I know that you will get into a four year college somewhere! That being said, I’d recommend that you apply to a test optional state school as well. Or better yet, try the ACT or SAT. Normally, you can request a fee waiver, which would allow you to take the exam without any financial hardship.

As far as ranking your schools, here is my best guess:

1)Bowdoin ED: High Match/Low Reach
2)Bates: Low Reach
3)Wake Forest: High Match/Low Reach
4)Pitzer College: Low Reach
5)Franklin and Marshall: Match/High Match

Good luck! Please chance me back:
