Although I haven’t read the teacher recs themselves, I’m sure they are fantastic. My history teacher really liked me and my math teacher enjoyed how I taught the class how to graph sine waves using Excel (I hope/think she referenced this)

My essay is about how I used to hate visiting my grandfather because he has no modern technology. It was only after his death that I realized I had been blinded by 21st century material possesions. My AP lit teacher said it was an excellent essay and she said she praised it more than she typically praises an essay…

You have good credentials and seem like a good candidate.

bumpppppppppppppppppppppp

I am an alum and I think you are a great candidate!! My son got in ED and hopefully you will be classmates. Best of luck.

You have great chances dude. Good luck!

Just wondering, how are you going to mention your community service on the application?

Well, I hint at it in a few ways.

1) I list the major types of community service on the resume I attached to the common app…these include my peer tutoring, volunteering in a hospital, mission trip, etc.

2) My old scout master has written me a letter of recommendation. Although I obviously have not read it, because boy scouts is such a community service-based organization, I think it is safe to say he has mentioned my community service

3) I won a book award based on scholarship and SERVICE (so obviously my school knows I do service work if they chose to award me this book award)

4) My teacher reqs may mention my service…

bump10char

I think you can get into all except maybe princeton or harvard
Do you go to a public or private school? and if so is it good?

I got to a top public school in MA. We got a blue ribbon award (given by the No Child Left Behind people) and are a silver medal school in the US news and world report

I’m not sure what you’re looking for spartan… obviously you are a strong candidate but strong candidates do occasionally get rejected from schools they should be able to get into … that said, you’ll still probably get in.

As a full pay applicant with strong numbers, I would be surprised if you were rejected from Bowdoin & Williams. Dartmouth, Princeton & Brown are unlikely. Colgate & Hamilton are matches suggesting above average odds of gaining admission. Duke & Middlebury are not clear as your total app. & recommendations are unavailable. That is my best guess. Hope that I got at least one right!
