Thanks once again

Wow I was looking at your credentials and I’d say you have a very good chance as I have not seen anyone else with a background as unique as yours! The one thing I’d suggest you do is retake the SAT and try for a higher score or just omit it from your application. Also, I’m curious about what kind of game you play. I consider myself to be somewhat of a gamer :)

Good luck!

If you have a way to take the ACT where you are, I’d also give that a shot. Just work on those test scores and I’d say you have a great shot.

thanks guys, hopefully in my next sitting i could score above 2000!

Probably not, but possible.

hahahaha wow drought, harsh. i think people need to relax on these messageboards some times. who are any of us to say about raising scores and such. we’re not experts after all! that said, I think we can at least respond constructively.

so, boniver i think with some effort you can raise your score and certainly if you put a good application forward and have a bit of luck, you can get in too. Make sure to write good essays!
It’s the same with all these very selective LACs. Like the Ivys it’s hard to tell if you’ll get in, but you can always give it your best shot, and maybe you’ll get thick envelope in April!

It’s hard to get into these schools. In a VAST majority of cases, a 1710 just isn’t going to do it (although Bowdoin, being SAT optional, is a little different). Just givin an honest chance - no reason to sugarcoat it.

Just don’t send your SAT score at all, unless you can do 650+ in CR, and 700+ in math. Bowdoin is great that way; they don’t assess your intellectual capability and efficiency by a score.

I would think that with those SAT II scores in US History and World History, you should have a shot at a higher SAT I CR score. Best of Luck!
