Chance me for bowdoin?

Hi, clearly as you can see by my title im applying ED to bowdoin and i was wondering what my chances are?

I go to a very rigorous high school and I’ve taken in total (including senior year) 4 APs (5 on both Lang and US History and im taking AP Psych and AB Calc this year) and many honors courses through out my high school career (honors history, honors english, honors spanish, honors race class gender, honors african american literature, honors neuroscience, honors biology, and honors music theory) these honors classes are excluding APs

UW GPA: 3.84
Weighted GPA: 4.60

I believe I am also in the top 10% of my class.

Subjects SATS: 720 bio 720 USHistory
Taking the real SATs in october seeing as I wasn’t pleased with my march scores…expecting around 2100 or above but you never know…if they are bad i will be considering sending just my subject test scores

EXTRA CURRICULAR
Editor in Chief of an online newspaper. I was part of the inaugural staff and we won a pacemaker award, which is comparable to a pulitzer prize of online journalism (as a newspaper not individually). We also won 1st place at NSPA, 3rd at NESPA, and 1st at suffolk university. We’re also starting a program in which middle school kids come to the high school and we’re teaching them how to start an online newspaper etc. I also started a new section in the online newspaper and was therefore the inaugural managing editor of that section.
Mock Trial Captain: Last year every time I performed I got a perfect score. In addition i’ve held many roles through out the years.
Peer Leader: I was one of 40/1700 students selected to participate in creating an anti-suicide curriculum for my high school. This included working with guidance counselors and professionals from a nearby trauma center.
Volunteer at local hospital: I volunteered for over 100 hours at a local hospital and trained a volunteer in how to use the systems etc. I worked with several online programs and I helped the nurse’s desk and the front desk of a maternity ward.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
I worked at a preschool once a week for about 2 hours. I created a lesson plan for the preschool and I help oversee the children and set up activities.

I know I have good recommendations from teachers and I feel confident about my essay.
I know interviews aren’t always considered but I am interviewing and I am confident in my interviewing skills.

Thanks!

PS: Unfortunately, I do not have legacies

So I think that I will scream if read any more ‘chance me’ posts from people with UW GPAs above 3.75 and test scores above 1950 – people, this just sounds braggy. At that level, the answer for most schools will be my that you have a decent shot, as you probably already know, but, as many folks point out, you never know. My only suggestion is to be sure to have someone do a very thorough grammar review of your essay. Your recommendations will also be very important. Read about the students and compare yourself with them, and see if you think that they sound like you.

Thanks for the advice FizzyIzzy, but i’m really not trying to brag…
i was just curious what everyone thought.

FizzyIzzy - reality check: to be really competitive for the most selective colleges you should be looking at scores in the 75% percentile of recent admits to that college. Most high achieving students aim for 2200+ SAT and 33+ on ACT and a clean 4.0. Some on CC will tell you scores should be even higher. Those are high numbers nationally but they are the stats of most students who are admitted to the most selective schools…all that is to say that a poster listing his/her GAP 3.75 and SAT1950 is far from bragging. S/he is probably really looking for feedback. Agreed that chance me threads are silly regardless.

OP, are you URM? (looking at your classes, I thought maybe…). If so, look into Explore Bowdoin, a fantastic all expense paid fly-in program…<a href=“Explore Bowdoin | Bowdoin College”>Explore Bowdoin | Bowdoin College;

whoops just saw that you’re white female…if you’re first gen or low income you could still apply…
