Chance me for Brown ED?

Hi everyone,
Im thinking of applying Early Decision to Brown.
I know its a reach and a SUPER COMPETITIVE school especially for an international student asking for aid.
Do I have even the slightest chance?

CITIZENSHIP: JAMAICAN
**1st generation college

Im not going to go into the details but my EC’s are pretty good, mostly centered around debate (I’m president and founder of the debate club), I’m also really into astronomy and sailing which are unique. Im a senior prefect at school and have other awards and activities that I’m involved in (student government, honors program etc)
I also started a charity organization called project HELP

GPA: 3.9
SAT 1st try: 1900 :frowning: I know its low but I’m gonna try again and hopefully get it over 2000)
I know the sat score is a red flag, but they don’t want perfection right?
IM NOT PERFECT AND THAT’S OKAY

I still have about 8 months before applying

I do IB (international baccalaureate) which really does boost chances a bit in the admissions process.

Recommendations: will be great!
Essays: I’m going to pour my heart, mind and soul into them. Im a great writer so they will be amazing I hope

Intended major: International relations/ political science
Yes I do need financial aid: income < $25,000

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BROWN BUT WHAT IF APPLYING IS A WASTE OF TIME?
I don’t have a 2300 or a 4.0 gpa but I do have unique qualities that I can contribute to Brown as well as the drive that I have to succeed and thrive at brown

All responses and insights will be greatly appreciated!
-xoxo

Your SAT is way too low for an international. 2200+ Why wouldn’t they want perfection?

If you could increase SAT to 2100, trust me; any ivy will take you (except YP i guess).
Try increasing extra curriculars too.

Because you offer diversity, and Brown is Need Blind too. Being from Jamica ans being First Gen is a MAJOR advantage.

I would not listen to ISayHelloWorld. Ivies are never guaranteed especially for an international needing financial aid. It’s also a lot better to have high quality VS quantity of ECs.

Being international is never an advantage unless you’re from Antarctica or something and Brown isn’t need blind for internationals.

Unless you get your SAT to 2150-2200, you have little to no chance.

I’d say that the only thing going against me is my score which, If I don’t raise in my next sitting to at least 2050 I won’t apply to Brown.
