I’m currently a Sophomore at a fairly rigorous public high school in California (we’re in the top 100 nationwide). I really want to go to Brown, and would like to know if I’m on roughly the right path. Here’s all my info. Any feedback is appreciated! :)

I started doing Public Forum debate at my school this year, will try to keep this up through high school
I babysit and tutor kids in math
I just started tutoring underprivileged kids at a homeless shelter near my school for free
I love to cook (especially baking), have been doing it all my life
I’m currently working on starting a baking club at my school, to bake and fundraise/donate food to charities somehow
I did Girl Scouts from age 6-11, thinking about joining a new troop because I heard colleges like it (is this true?) and I enjoyed it when I was little
I’m thinking about maybe joining the robotics club at my school next year, but I’m not sure if I’ll have the time…thoughts??

Clubs: Ukulele club, Cheese club, Debate club, Free the Children club

Awards/Accomplishments: President’s Award Gold Level, passed ABRSM music theory exams levels 2 and 3 (will continue with higher levels)

Notes:
I like working with kids, volunteering, and food.
I’m interested in product or industrial design, something where I can use math, science, and art together.
I am trying to get an internship somewhere like Ideo, Tesla, Frog, etc. (my dad is an engineer and has a lot of contacts).
