Emory has a great quantitative social sciences concentration, you should look into it.

What state are you from? The acceptance rates for in state/out of state vary at UVA and UMich; I’m not sure if they vary with any of the UC schools but there’s a strong chance they do.

UCB and UCLA are reaches for all. Being Asian, the bar is higher for you. I would say you have a good shot at UVA, Emory, NYU. All bets are off for the others. You have the stats, but you’ll need more than this.

@preppedparent
UCLA and UCB have lower stats than the aforementioned three.
Emory, Amherst, and Brown have the highest SAT avgs on OP’s list.

@seaotter17 I’m applying from New York

Do you think my ECs are strong enough? I feel like they do not really show any leadership.

preppedparent says that to all who apply to UCB/UCLA, obviously from California and highly biased toward UC schools.

not from California at all, from East Coast actually. But UCLA has the most applications of any school, and UCB is not just about stats. UCB uses a holistic approach. And by the way, it’s ill advised to make assumptions.
