Chance me for Brown, UMich, and UCBerkeley

I’m an Indian female applicant. Did my 9th and 10th from American high school with 4.16 GPA out of 4.5. I’m doing 11th from IB (11th year final grade 38). I had expected a 40 score for predicteds but messed up on my mid term exams for 12th, which is what our predicteds are based on, and got 34 achieved with a predicted 38 (out of 42).

ACT - 34.
SAT math - 800
SAT chemistry - 710
SAT Physics - 750.
I’ve good ECs (started an initiative for education of underprivileged kids in India and registered it as a foundation with branches abroad).
My whole resume highlights the fact that I am a learner, take challenging courses and become the leader in the absence of one.
My major is engineering related- more specifically computer science. (My IB HLs were Math,Physics and Chem for which I got predicted 677 respectively). I’m also considering ‘Applied Physics’ for schools with low acceptance rate for CS major.

My LORs are decent. I have one from my counsellor (who has written all about the different clubs I’ve started and had a officer position, as well as my two internships from architecture and CS firm). I’m getting my LORs from Physics teacher and Math teacher.

I would really appreciate any help. Most people said that 38 predicted will take me out of the equation before I even get a chance.
I also wanted to know if being a girl would mean an increased chance of getting into Computer Science, and whether being an international student would change anything.
Along with Brown, UMich and UCBerkeley, I’m looking at CMU, Northwestern, Duke and UTAustin.

anyone??

when referring to your test scores, you are more than qualified for UMich and Berkeley. My cousin got into Michigan with a 29 ACT and a 3.68 unweighted GPA. Berkeley, another public school, inputs your scores and other factors and creates a number to determine admission. You would be well above the average number. For Ivy’s like Brown and elite privates like Duke and Northwestern, I would definitely say your odds are well above 90%, and I believe no one on this site would disagree to that. However, to boost your chances even further, focus on speaking about one or two specific clubs or activities that have impacted you and help you stand out. these Admissions officers are used to seeing quantity, what they long for is quality, and life changing experiences. Provide them with that, and I’m confident you would have absolutely no problems.

Please don’t tell applicants to fiercely competitive colleges that their chances are 90%. There are so many variables considered in final decisions.

donny, was your cousin with the 29 act out of state at michigan?

@DonnyZ123 I disagree with your statement that the OP’s odds are greater than 90% at Brown, Duke and Northwestern. @lookingforward is right.

Since I’m an international student applying for a competitive course like CS, I doubt my chances even hit 5% honestly. My IB score isn’t great either, which further lowers it. I just wanted a third person opinion and any advice on how I can boost my chances.

I think you have a really good shot. Just make sure you spend time writing passionate essays.

oh alright thankyou!

Can someone chance me for Brown, CMU, Rice, Northwestern and Duke for CS Regular Decision?
