Chance me for Brown University

Hey can someone please tell me what my chances of getting into Brown University are?

Okay here are my stats:
2030 on the SAT (720 Math 690 Writing 620 Reading)- not too great i know
720- Math I
710- Math II
I have a 4.96 weighted GPA, 3.789 unweighted
I have taken: AP US History (4), AP English Lang (4) and I'm currently taking AP Calc BC, AP Government, AP English Lit, AP Spanish
I am involved in newspaper club (editor), spanish club, marching band, concert band and i volunteered at the hospital throughout the summer
I am a member of National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society, National Journalism Honors Society, and National Music Honors Society

I really liked all of my essays because I made them all really interesting and was really honest and genuine adding some humorous metaphors. My common app was like a reflection of the revolution in egypt as my family is from there.

I realize brown is a crap shoot for everyone, but I was wondering, with great teacher recs, and great essays, do I have a good chance, or do my test scores keep me out of the race? Brown is my first choice but I could not apply there ED due to financial issues. Thanks in advance!!!

Weak test scores/gpa will probably be enough to take you out without any standout ECs. Unless you’re a URM (black or hispanic), it’s gonna be tough to get in.

Unfortunately, your scores are too low to make you competitive without a serious hook-recruited athlete, URM or development.

Here’s the basics:

Sorry to say, but a 3.7x UW and an SAT of around 2000 puts you out of range for likelihood of acceptance. It could be overcome with terrific ECs, but being in honors societies and participating in a few clubs probably will not do it. Crazier things have happened, but I’d say very probable rejection. On the bright side, you sound like you’re a URM, which will raise your chances.

what’s a good SAT score for Brown?

Average SAT scores for each section usually ranges from high 600s to mid 700s

Although even getting something like a 710 in each section would still be considered low. Having the average score for each section isn’t good enough.
