I’m currently a junior right now, and here’s my hypothetical application:

GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)

APs:
Sophomore year- AP World (5), AP Biology (4), AP Calculus BC(5), AP Calculus AB subscore (5)
Junior year: AP Language and Composition, AP U.S. History, AP Statistics, AP Physics 1
Senior year: AP Computer Science, AP Gov., AP Psych, AP Spanish 4

SAT/ACT/SAT II

SAT- 1530 (740R & 790M)
ACT- 33 (35E, 35M, 31R, 30S)–> planning to retake it next month
SAT II- Biology (760), Physics, Math 2, Chemistry

Teacher recommendations:

  1. Freshman English teacher- I’m very close with her, so she knows me fairly well
  2. Drama teacher- he’s also known me since freshman year. I know that this girl that got into Yale a couple of years ago received a recommendation letter from him.

I am planning to go into computer science or biology major and am considering these schools for ED:

Brown, UPenn, Cornell, and Berkeley

Well it’s impossible to say for sure but if you were to go into EECS, you would have an increased chance as a woman in engineering. Seeing now, your stats are quite competitive while your ECs will be decent but not outstanding.

I would give you a good chance at all of these schools. You are a very competitive applicant.
