would i have a shot if i did ED to brown? my gpa isn't the highest, i could have taken slightly higher classes, and I'm at a competitive high school, so i don't know how much that damages me. i live in an area that would allow me to have an interview. i could ED some other good college where i knew i could get in, like northwestern... but brown is my dream school. i also have triple legacy at university of michigan and my dad works there so i don't know if i can consider that a safety or not but should i just shoot for the stars and go to michigan if it doesn't work? WHAT DO!!

I hope the vegetarian essay doesn’t turn out to be lame or cliche. Are you going to submit any of your dancing as art supplements? That could help. You have a good shot at ED but the GPA may be the only problem. Do you know what it is unweighted? Or class rank?

With a 2380 superscore you have a GREAT chance at Brown! Your EC’s seem above average, and hopefully your recs will be great as well. If Brown is your dream then definitely ED there, it will improve your chances dramatically.

Chance back?

I’m writing about it because it was the first independent choice I made, and changed my mindset on social justice issues, environmental concerns, etc which may lead to a career in public policy. My school doesn’t show me the unweighted GPA and I’d have to go back through all three years of progress reports, etc to figure it out. My school also doesn’t do class rank because we have so many qualified kids and it hurts top level students, but my guidance counselor said I was at least in the top 10% as a general statement
