I don't have any AP scores yet, but by the end of my senior year I will have taken AP Bio, AP Lang and Comp, AP Stats, AP Micro, AP Lit and Comp, AP Macro, and AP Enviro. (note that I will not be taking AP Calc)

I have only taken 1 subject test which was on a whim, but I will be taking SAT 2 BIO and another one. I also plan on taking the Sept. ACT.

Please chance me for BS/MD programs (Sophie Davis, Case Western, and such), BS/DO programs (Nova Southeastern, St. Bonaventure, and all) and schools such as University of Michigan, Cornell, and Emory.

What are your suggestions for me? I want to be a physician and I would just like to know my chances. Please respond to this and have a great day!!!

All BS/md programs seem to be reaches. They don’t care for sat/gpa past their requirements, but your sat might be lower than that. I also see close to 0 passion/experience with medicine and that is the biggest factor they look at. Perhaps you have some you could elaborate on? You might have a chance at st. Bonaventure as it is much easier to get into in general but I’m not sure for the BS/md program. The other 3 schools listed are high matches (Emory is a match) and umichigan might be easier if you are in-state. Raising your sat score or doing better on the act would improve your chances even more.

thanks for your reply! as for my passion/ experience i am interning with a doctor for a couple of hours a week (as i said above) and hopefully this will turn into a job at her office as well. i also will shadow an er doctor over the summer. my j&j program is also geared towards the sciences. was that explanation enough? sorry.

Nova Southeastern BS/DO program would be a match for you.

3 + 4 program requires SAT score of 1300 (CR + M)
4 + 4 program requires SAT score of 1150(CR + M)

Affiliated hospitals include Broward Health Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital.

try to improve that SAT or take the ACT. its difficult to improve ECs at this point, but a little volunteering at a hospital during the school year couldnt hurt. Cornell is high reach, Michigan is high match, and Emory is reach.
