Hello! I applied to Boston University as an Early Decision applicant and I’m really anxious about the results next month! Can anyone chance me?

I’m an asian-american woman and I’m applying for financial aid. I’m also from North Carolina and I don’t have many honors, besides AP Distinguished Scholar, some piano awards, and one school achievement. I think my recommendations should be good and my supplements are good (writing about my hobby of doing calligraphy and how it translates into who I am- I think it fairly represents me but I’m worried that it’s not deep enough). I also plan on either majoring in Biology for pre-med path or Anthropology. I’d really appreciate it if anyone could chance me or give me any advice about Boston University! Thank you!

If you have already applied ED, then I do not think that there is much to do other than to wait and try to be patient. Perhaps you can have a gelato during the warm weather that is on the east coast right now.

I think that your chances are pretty good. However, we do not have much experience with ED. One daughter did get into BU RD several years ago with slightly lower stats.

I do not think that it is a safety, particularly with some students having deferred to next year due to the pandemic. I think that you need to be ready with applications to other schools including a safety in case this does not pan out.

That’s very true that I can only wait now and I feel like December 15th can’t come fast enough! BU is definitely my reach school and I have some other safety schools just in case I don’t get in. How was your daughter’s experience in BU?

She chose to go somewhere else. She decided to go somewhere that was not in a big city. University did work out well for her however.
