@UCFgal Your chances should be good.

My S applied and got in to the Burnett Honors College. (He’s planning to study mechanical/aerospace engineering.)

Here are his stats:

You will want to be sure to write a thoughtful Personal Statement and (if you haven’t already) apply as soon as you can. All the best to you!

@VABogart Thank you so much! And congratulations to your son :slight_smile:

I found out today that I was accepted to the honors college :))

@UCFgal That’s terrific – congratulations!

Way to go, UCFgal!

@VABogart @Trisherella Thank you so much!

@UCFgal About how long did it take for the Burnett Honors College to get back to you about your acceptance? I’m so anxious I check everyday and I applied about 11 days ago (but that was pretty close to the priority deadline so it’s understandable that’ll take a bit). It says on their site anywhere from 3-5 weeks?

@madisonskipper They received my application the 17th and notified me exactly one week later.

@madisonskipper For me it took about the same as it did for Jnjrs (8 days) to see that I was accepted on myHonors. However, I didn’t receive my actual letter of acceptance until about 4 days after.
Since you said you did submit close to the priority deadline, I wouldn’t be worried. I hope you’ll get some news soon!

@Jnjrs @UCFgal UPDATE! So I logged onto myHonors today and saw that I’ve officially been accepted! So my application was received on 1/13/17 on my status changed on myHonors on 1/30/17. That means it took (17 days) for me to get accepted. I’m also posting this in case anyone else has been worrying like I was. On their website it actually says anywhere from 3 - 5 weeks (especially if you’re applying near the deadline I guess).
