I am currently a junior in high school and I know I want to go into business. I am pretty confident that I should be able to get into some good business state schools such as the U of Minnesota, Madison, and IU. As far as business schools that are realistic reaches I would like to know which of the top schools I'd have the best chance at. Here is my resume:

-I currently have a 3.9 unweighted GPA.
-I am ranked top 11.5% of my class.
-I have taken almost all honors classes and I am taking AP classes my junior and senior year.
-I have gotten a 28 on my ACT and will be taking it again
-On SAT I got 510 CR, 690 Math, 580 Writing - 1780 overall
-I am in National Honors Society, a Treasurer in Key Club (2 years) and member for 4 years, varsity tennis player for 6 years and lettered + captain, Spanish club, editor for school paper, S.W.A.T.S club, Model UN, cofounder of club and co-president of it, volunteer at local charities and nature center, etc.

Schools:
- Georgetown
- University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
- University of Notre Dame
- Boston University
- Boston College
- Cornell
- Wash U in St. Louis

Keep in mind that Wash U, BC, and Cornell supposedly superscore the ACT. My superscored ACT is a 29 which is slightly better.

I'd like to know which of these schools I have the best chance at and if any of the schools are target/reaches rather than just reaches. Please rank the schools from most likely to least likely at admissions!

Thank you for your time and please comment! I chance back!

All Universities take and support the ACT now, so you should be okay there. Try starting a business of your own over the summer and into next year, get some actual self-employed business under your belt that you can put on your application. A business school is going to like to see that your already taking the liberty of becoming a business man! (or woman lol)

chance back with my newest thread from today!

I understand that most colleges accept the ACT. Superscoring the ACT is different. That means the college will take the top scores from english, science, reading, and math from different tests and combine them, which would help my score out a little. Other advice would be much appreciated! I am trying to find out which colleges are worth applying to and which ones I probably wouldn’t be admitted to (therefore a waste of money to apply). Thanks and please comment!

your act score seems incongruent with your grades/ecs…grade inflation perhaps? anyways get it up to 30-32 to increase your chances, it’s your one flaw

try to improve ACT/SAT scores and i think BC, UNC, and BU are in your range
georgetown and notre dame are reaches but definitely worth applying to
remember that colleges are looking for that “something special” so try to pick something that you love (tennis? mun? volunteering?) and FOCUS on it so you can get everything out of it

Yeah, chances low at everything except BU. BUT if you increase SAT/ACT score significantly (400-500 points on SAT, 5+ points on ACT), you’d have a much better shot at the top schools, though rank is still not good. But if you significantly increase your scores UNC/BC might be within reasonable range.

Boston and Cornell are the schools that I can recommend since I have families in there who were successful after graduating from those schools. Business school is really tough so if you want to be at of any good school, try to increase your GPA. In that way, you can choose whichever school that you like. I have read something about the business schools of America today; I hope this article can give you additional help.

Georgetown: High Reach
University of North Carolina Chapel Hill: Match
University of Notre Dame: Reach
Boston University: Match
Boston College: Reach
Cornell: High Reach
Wash U in St. Louis: High Reach

Your grades are good and your extracurriculars are okay, but your ACT/SAT scores are somewhat low. If you could improve it by about 4 or so points, I think you’d have a good shot at attending all of the schools here.
