Also teacher monitor for an English teacher, who will probably write a really good recommendation letter.

Emory is generous with need based aid. There is a calculation tool on the website. While it’s not perfect, it will give you a decent idea of what kind of aid package you would get.

I think you are good to be honest. I applied RD and I got in with a ACT- 33 and a 3.814 GPA. Meanwhile my school calculates GPA at a scale of A+ (97-100; 4.0) and A (92-96; 3.8) and so on. It also depends where you come from. I come from a part of New York that is overly competitive, so it is extremely difficult to get into selective schools just based on the quality of applicants. If you love Emory, ED 1 is great for you. If you think you can do better and love another school, go for it and ED II to Emory. Good luck!
