this ----> “International applying from Canada”
is going to be your downfall. Rather than a 50% chance if you were instate, I would say more of a 15-25% =]

Do you think the fact that the current Cal president is a Canadian and one of the previous Cal presidents was a Taiwanese will help me in admission process lol?

I am not applying for aid. Does it make any difference?

I went to the Cal’s admission website and it says the admission rates for internationals and for Cal residents are the same - 22%. I don’t know how accurate those stats are.

3) And… GOOD NEWS! They’re really accurate.
Feel free to play with the UC Statfinder Tables found at [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/) if you want more precise data.
Internationals, like out-of-staters (myself included), are treated the same way, screwed. =]

That’s what I heard. That’s why the international acceptance rate was so high last year. I heard this year they’re opening up more spots for internationals and OOS.

First off, the number of applicants to Berkeley from out of state or something decreased by .3%, and they’re increasing the number paying full tuition, so it turns out this year may be a better year compared to last.

Not applying for aid “does not matter” on an app.

Personally though, I think it definitely does become a factor especially with the economy. And honestly, I believe that applying for aid and not applying has always been a part of the admission process with most colleges. (How true that is I obv. don’t know. And the only real proof/method to find out is to be become one of the people who reads the applications…=)
