Really powerful essays (showed my commitment and passion for engineering and music)

Decent extracurriculars (200+ hours community service, 400+ hours music producing, internship at an aerospace museum)

I think you have a good chance at Cal Poly even though your GPA is slightly lower than their average because your SAT and ACT is higher than their averages for engineering.

I don’t know which UCs you applied to so I guess I’ll list them all.
UCR: In
UCM: In
UCSC: In
UCI: Very good chance
UCD: Good Chance
UCSB: Good chance
UCSD: Reach
UCLA: High reach
UCB: Very high reach

I think you’re into most of those UCs. Just for the record, UC’s don’t look at superscored scores. They look at the highest one sitting which is your 1990. According to your stats, you’re into UCR, UCM, UCSC for sure. Davis, Irvine, and SB are great matches, you just need to have written strong essays. Berkeley and LA are pretty much too far out of reach. You need quite some stellar EC’s and/or test scores to get into those.

To be honest don’t expect to get into ucsd. It’s getting progressively harder. I think you’ll get into a lot of good schools though. Possibly ucsd
