Computer Science is extremely competitive for USC, UCD and Cal Poly SLO. Your UC GPA is a little low for all schools. A 4.0+ is what they are looking for. Here is the Freshman Profile for 2014 for SLO: <a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions;
Also double majoring at SLO can be difficult to get approved.

You should consider Cal Poly Pomona, UCI, UCSC and SDSU as possible matches.
UCD/SLO/USC: Low Reach

I believe I’ll be able to use my 4.0 to USC as it weighs all honors (correct)?
And I’d sacrifice to business major if I had to

And about CS being competitive- isn’t it more that the College of Engineering is competitive? (at least with Davis)
I was planning on applying to CS in the College of Letters and Sciences.

Also, can anyone speak to switching into the engineering department from another at SLO?

Computer science is extremely competitive at UC Irvine. It may even be more selective than UC Davis for computer science. I do not understand why everyone seems to underestimate the selectivity of UC Irvine.

UC Davis does not care about extremely high SAT scores. Obviously, a good SAT score will help, but UC Davis places a lot more emphasis on GPA. Cal Poly SLO probably places more emphasis on GPA too.

I agree with Mangiafuoco, UCI is more competitive than UC Davis for Computer Science. But let’s not focus on competitiveness. UCD location is better than UCI.
See the following article from Quartz. Location matters for CS. UCI is no where as prevalent as UCD for these companies.
