I took 1 SAT II: 650 on history...prob not gonna send it in.
I got a 29 on ACT, taking it again, hoping for at least a 30!
Over 300 hours of community service+ National Honor Society+Clean Streams Clean Bay+ CSF+ Presidential Award+ Leadership+ President of Black and Blue Crew(spirit group for football games), bioSITE(a class in which we teach kids about the environment, band for a year, and I played in my city's city hall!

For my essays, I have pretty good ones. Talking about how my dad tried to commit suicide, and how my tutor refused to tutor me when I was a kid because i was "too stupid" as she said.

What would my chances be for UCLA, CAL, UCSD? Thank you so so so much!

You want a higher score for the ACTs to guarantee admission imo. But I know people who have lower GPAs and the same scores that have gotten in, so don’t worry too much.

Make sure your dad essay is about how you changed and not just about your dad. Besides the test scores you’re definitely fine.

Berkeley - High Reach
UCLA - Reach
UCSD - High Match

Your standardized test scores are a bit low for Cal and UCLA. I wouldn’t discount your chances completely because you GPA, course rigor, and ec’s are pretty strong, but I would suggest applying to some other schools in addition to these to broaden your choices. (if you aren’t planning to already)

Also, what is your class rank (if you school ranks)? That may end up playing a role here.

I thought UC’s don’t consider ranks?

Odd. There’s quite a large discrepancy between your impeccable GPA and your only so-so ACT score. They might think that your school does grade inflation or something, which wouldn’t bode well for you.

Everything else seems really good at this point, so go all in with the ACT. Spend an hour or so each day. Live and breathe it (but don’t kill yourself, of course). If you can get it up to a 34 or so, you’re in all of them.
