LOL

I love how you stated that your the best dancer and singer in your ENTIRE country

but I think u have a good chance at rice

If you’re a regular guest on cc you know that getting accepted at schools like MIT, CalTech, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, etc is like playing roulette - you can’t expect to get accepted, no matter how good your stats are …!

My son had an SAT score of 2390 (and 800 on the SAT II in each Math, Phys, Chem - both SAT I and SAT II in single sittings) and good essays, and got rejected on some of those you mentioned.

If you’re looking for top Engineering schools, I would expect to see Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Mich(?) on your list, too …

They don’t provide FA to internationals.

Btw, where did your son get in with those excellent scores?

top schools don’t admit mere numbers.

You have to understand the difference between need blind and need aware. Most schools are need blind for US students and need aware for International students. Even MIT which claims to need blind for international students is not totally so

So what it means that it is more competitive for an international student as compared to a domestic student. They do not look at your need at time of application but limit the number of students so that do not exceed their FA budget.

Caltech is clearly need aware for internationals
