I am thinking of doing a double major in Statistics and Economics, with a minor in Spanish. My only concerns are my SAT scores and the fact that I am not involved in any sports and have few leadership positions in my extracurriculars. What sort of chance do I have of getting into my schools? Also, does anybody know what chance I would have of getting into the MMSS program at Northwestern? Thank you so much!

Alright I don’t know enough about Northwestern.
CMU, you should be fine. Stanford, probably not, they are beyond hard to get into and like you said you lack leadership. Brown could go either way. Use your ACT and subject tests (but your SAT scores are really good). Do you have any community service?

Why are you taking the SAT with a 36 ACT? Total waste of time and money.

Probably in at Carnegie mellon, decent chance at Brown, stanford and northwestern.

No need to retake the SAT; the 36 on your ACT is more than enough. Also, don’t take too many subject tests, colleges want only 2, 3 at most. After that it can’t help you, so, if anything, improve on what subjects you have already taken.

You have great scores and grades! However, for those Ivies and Stanford like schools, EC’s are a must and those are in need of more development.
