Teacher Recs: 2—1, amazing from my Spanish/French prof. 2, very good from my English teacher.
Counselor Rec: She loves me and said she was “excited to write my rec” sooo… I assume really good.
I write a lot and people have told me my essays are well-written…

…so opinions would be nice :)

yeah everything looks really good! SAT scores are right in BC's range, GPA is good, and definately shown a rigor in high school classes (those are the 3 most important chances)

you are a minority, have good e.c.'s so I think you have a very strong chance (80% chance IMO).

is BC your first choice? if not, what is? (i can try to chance you on that as well)

GOOD LUCK

oh also, what was your class rank?

Sigh.... we don't rank, it's kind of annoying. My counselor approximates top 10%, another one told me top 5%---class of 230ish, I believe.

I don't really have a first choice anymore, to be incredibly honest with you. I'm quite partial to Dartmouth and Johns Hopkins right now.

Also, as a minority, I'm Asian, which tends to be over-represented... i.e. if they compare me to other Asians (who generally test better than me) then I'm in trouble.

Oh, and question: Is the acceptance rate for Carroll different than the one for just BC? Is it factored into the given acceptance rate for BC? Or separate altogether? I tried googling it and got 12%, which doesn't sound right to me... but hey, what do I know...

Hey, your stats look great and i would agree with ny0rker on about an 80% chance. where in CNY are you from?

hahha I'm not sure about that, it is probably just about the regular admission rate for BC (20 or 30 percent something i believe) generally, It's not much harder to get into Carroll than into like the college of arts and sciences (if not the same)

good chance. i never applied during high school, but i applied as a transfer and in terms of equivalency it over i had very similar stats and was accepted.

i think they accept roughly 3.8, 2100+

@ Ny0rker

that's not true, i did a lot of research and carroll is their most selective school

Well. That's convenient.

I guess applying can't hurt---although I would feel bad about making my parents pay 1000k in application/postage/css/test score-sending fees and then have myself be rejected. (Yaayyyy, college!) Though, if you're already paying so much, might as well add some extra reaches... who knows...

And yeah, I have heard that BC's business school is great.
