What are my chances for
CMU(CS, Tepper, CIT)
JHU
cornell
UIUC
RPI
Georgia Tech
NYU(stern or college of arts and sciences)
BC
URoch
UMich
UT@Austin

Applying to UChicago and Caltech, but I have a low chance of getting in
other schools?

Any significant awards?
Anyways I’ll chance you with a 2200 SAT:
CMU SCS - reach
CMU Tepper/CIT - high match
JHU - high match
cornell -high match
UIUC - low match / safety
RPI - low match
Georgia Tech - match/low match
NYU(stern or college of arts and sciences) - sorry, I don’t know too much about NYU
BC - match
URoch - match
UMich - match
UT@Austin - low match
UChicago - reach
Caltech - reach

Same as the guy on top. IF you get a 2200 SAT:
CMU SCS - match
CMU Tepper/CIT - high match
JHU - high match-low reach
cornell -low reach
UIUC - safety
RPI - safety
Georgia Tech - low match
NYU(stern or college of arts and sciences) - high match/low reach
BC - match
URoch - match
UMich - match
UT@Austin - match (UT austin is a decent school:))
UChicago -mid reach
Caltech - high reach

@Andrew
SCS is on par with MIT, and even waitlisted/rejected some MIT admits. Its a mid reach.

@Andrew
RPI is just as competitive as Gtech and Michigan. How is UT a match but RPI a safety? RPI is a match/high match for the OP as admit rate is 38% and falling.

@jogo84,are you freaking kidding me? CMU is a decent school, but it is no where near MIT. I mean not even close. When you talk about MIT, CMU is, well to put it politely, dog poop. I think you are saying that just cuz you go to CMU and got rejected from MIT. No offense, but you picked CMU over MIT, you are mentally challenged.

@Andrewsun1994… I wanted to say two things. First, last time I checked - 1 minute ago - Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science is literally ranked number 1 alongside MIT and Stanford. And when you check the average class score ranges on SATs @ the admissions site you will see that every range goes from above 700 to 800.

Second, my father is a compsci major, and all of the investment companies beg for cmu cs students to take their positions at ridiculously high salaries (upwards of 70k)…

Next time you decide to make a total ass of yourself I suggest that you know your facts better. oh and if you did a cost benefit analysis you’d easily find that cmu and mit students have a comparable starting salary but cmu students spend so much less on their college.
