Chance me for Cockrell Engineering

Hey I'm an incoming senior at an in-state Texas high school, I plan on applying to the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT and majoring in either "Petroleum" or "Chemical" engineering. Im just gonna do a brief list of my stats and hopefully Y'ALL will chance me.

Class rank: 1/90
GPA: 4.0 (Unweighted) 4.37 (Weighted)
ACT composite score: 29 (no prep, 30 Math) planning on prepping and taking again in September

Class rigor: taking hardest class but school only offers one AP class and that is AP Calculus and I will take it this upcoming year. But as a junior I took 12 hours of dual enrollment classes in English and History and have a 4.0 college GPA and will take dual enrollment Brit Lit and Economics my senior year.

I have a very impressive set of extra curriculars with hundreds of volunteering hours many clubs and organizations including President of NHS.

Sorry that I don't feel like listing the ECC's them because I'm gonna be going to the movies in about 20 minutes and need to get ready. But please chance me!

You’re probably set for petroleum right now, but chemical engineering is more difficult to get into. I’d hope for a 32 minimum on your next ACT along with a higher math score. This is a really rough guess, however, as I don’t know the stats of many ChemE’s.

My son was 3rd out of a class of 24 with a gpa of 4.57, but received a 34 on the ACT. He took the most advanced courses his high school had to offer and was accepted into ChemE.

Id say your pretty good but you really want a higher ACT to be safe…
