I have much more extracurricular activities, which I uploaded in the additional supplement section.

I think that personal essay and short answer are pretty strong.

I have two pretty strong recommendations I guess from Math and Physics teachers. Both of them know me and like me.

Intended Major: Computer Science/Mathematics

Thanks in advance. Please do chance me.

Your SAT is about average for Colby (I think), so it won’t hurt or help you. Your ECs seem strong, but there doesn’t seem to be too much in them that’s related to your intended major (they seem to have much more of a humanities bent than math/science, so that’s really confusing).

You’re in. Your SAT is about average, and a GPA of 4.0 obviously means you’re on spot there. EC’s look great. With good essays and recs, you’re in!

Having it as ED obviously helps too.

Do ECs necessarily need to be related to the intended major? I have ECs related to Physics and Chemistry. I have not had an opportunity to study CS or Calculus at high school. I think Essays and Recs are good. I have working experience and volunteering so I hope I’ll get in. The only thing I am afraid of is that I am applying for almost full financial aid and Colby is not need-blind so… and I am international student.

Colleges appreciate it a lot more if ECs are related to your intended major, but if it’s something good, not a big issue cause then it seems like you are doing something you are interested it.

I was really interested in shooting videos and short films later I got interested in physics and wrote a research paper, I also took part in Math trivias in school and helped classmates in math and physics. I hope my teachers mentioned that in recs. I have both academic and EC activities and achievements, also working experience as a journalist, blogging and etc. I think that’s ok. isn’t it?

Like I said before, your EC’s look strong. It’s a wide range, and an impressive one at that too. I think you should get in.

Goodluck!

Thanks! The date is close. Just 10 days left.
