Chance me for College of Engineering!

Out of state, from Texas. I go to a highly competitive high school here.
I haven't calculated my weighted GPA yet, but my GPA is a 4.2 right now. At my school, 4.0 = maximum for regulars, 4.5 = honors, 5.0 = AP classes I've taken 7 AP classes so far in 3 years. I'm taking 5 more this year.
SAT scores: 2120 (Reading: 690, Math: 760, Writing: 670). I'm retaking it in October.
SAT subject: Math: 750, Planning on taking biology and physics in November. I know UM doesn't care much for subjects though.
ACT score: 30 (English: 31, Math: 33, Reading: 32, Science: 24)
I participate in Science Fair every single year, & I make it to the regional level (no HUGE wins though)
Piano player for 11+ years
This past summer, I was accepted into the UTD nanoexplorers program - really prestigious research institute internship
Top 6% of my graduating class (rank 88 out of 1,311)
Clubs: Science Fair, NHS, Spanish Club
Won a few awards in high school for filmmaking/video contests.

I'm doing early decision, so the deadline is November 1.

I'm female (if that helps), and I'm interested in industrial engineering

Send in your SAT score. You don’t need to waste your time and money taking it again. It would be waste of time and money to take SAT subject tests for U-M. If unweighted GPA is 3.7 or better, I would consider you a match for COE.

Wasn’t this posted already?

I think I remember you from an earlier post last spring/summer. At that time weren’t your parents dead set on you not leaving Texas. Didn’t both or one of them actually attend UMich (graduate or undergraduate). Has anything changed since that time

Hmm i’m not sure if I’m the person you’re referring to. But my parents aren’t willing to pay the OOS fees (unless it’s an ivy league or another school of high prestige). They know I can adjust well out of state because I have an adventurous personality.
They didn’t attend UMich, but they used to live in Detroit in the 80s.
And yeah, a lot has changed. Since my posts in the summer, I actually visited U of M and lived with a friend on campus for a whole week. Not only did I take a campus tour and get an idea of the education, but I REALLY felt so amazing being in Ann Arbor for that week. Before my parents thought that I arbitrarily picked UM as my choice, and it was just a phase. But now they take me a little bit more seriously. next step is to get accepted.

You want to go into engineering?

You won’t go to 80% of those places on that tour
